Kick off the 2013 convention with a festive meet and greet! Drop in for munchies and drinks while watching and/or participating in a fun, casual karaoke competition. See old friends and make new ones while mingling with Cavemen, authors, editors and fans! Prizes will be given for best performance, funniest performance, and most entertaining performance.

It helps to know a little background information on how Ellora's Cave came to be. As with any new venture, especially one that deals with women controlling and defining their own sexuality, EC's birth and subsequent popularity was met with heavy criticism and resistance from The Powers That Be within the established mainstream romance community.

We were told to tone it down; we refused to behave. We were told to align ourselves with the erotica industry rather than the romance industry; we refused to be pigeonholed. We were told we were nothing but a passing fad; we're a powerhouse and we're proud of it.

And we're proud of our authors, many of whom have endured public witch-hunts both online and in their real world communities. They are the Bad Girls of Romance and they celebrate that fact!
